Ok this was cool to hear input on. I’ll pass it on to the guy in question. I think there is a little bit of difference in cultures there.
In the UK we see the word as a good strong Anglo-Saxon word. Admittedly it’s the longest lasting ‘taboo’ swear-word… but why? You can call me a cock or a prick or a penis or a dick and it’s dirt off my shoulder - but twat and cunt are meant to be worse?! That’s sexist. Nothing wrong with the female anatomy is there? Plus this girl was a fucking Scouser.
PS. I’ll tell you how this worked out: The man said to the woman ‘why are you acting like a cunt?’ There’s a big difference between saying you are being a cunt and you’re acting like a cunt right. Everyone knows you wouldn’t tell a child they are bad - but you would say they’re acting bad. Then there’s somewhere to go with it.
Anyhow, the female took exception and decided that the word was the catalyst for the disintegration which was already in progress. They moved homes, jobs and shit, got on with their lives and say 18 months later the man received an email saying ‘I’m sorry for being a cunt, let’s try again’. Over my dead body the man was heard to type.
